PARENT LEADER RESOURCES
District 26 has a long, proud history of committed parents who are deeply involved in their children's educations. Parents, like you, who volunteer to step up and hold leadership positions on our PTA executive boards and School Leadership Teams, play a crucial role in keeping all of our families engaged and informed. Thank you for your dedication and the valuable work you do in our schools!
Presidents' Council / District 26 (PC D26)
Each community school district in NYC is required to have a Presidents' Council. PC D26 is an organization of District 26 PTA presidents (or designees) that represents the interests of our district's parents and parent leadership organizations.
Chancellor's Parent Advisory Committee (CPAC)
Presidents' Council presidents from every New York City school district (or their designee) sit on CPAC. This council meets monthly to discuss citywide issues facing parents and parent leadership.

Community District Education Council 26 (CDEC 26)
CDEC 26 is made up of 11 voting members (nine elected by District 26 parents, two appointed by the Queensboro President Katz) who serve two year terms working directly with Superintendent Giunta, reviewing district educational programs, approving zoning lines, and making recommendations on capital improvements, in order to make our schools the best they can be.
